We had a good nights sleep, Victor gave up his room for us, so we were very comfortable.
We started the morning by taking Herr Schmidt for a walk in the forest. He loves to roll in the grass, sit in the water and visit with the other dogs. Victor and Vincent were both in school, so Bryan and I went with Winni (Victor's dad).
We got rolls at the bakery in Walldorf, a town with stores next to Zeppelinheim. We had the best breakfast with rolls, uncooked pork and beef, cheeses, the best spicy cream cheese and jellies.
The Scholdei's drove us along the Rhine to Rüdesheim where we took a gondola up the mountain and then hiked around in the forest to a chair lift to go down. Herr Schmidt
was such a brave dog! Then we took a boat on the Rhine back to Rüdesheim, with a good beer to drink as we cruised.

We took the autobahn back to Frankfurt, of course Victor's dad can drive as fast as he wants. 😊
In Neu-Isenburg there is a very good old restaurant where we ate called Föhl. We started the meal with a special drink that Germans can only have in the Frankfurt area, called Apfelwin. It is a alcoholic drink with apples, not a wine. It
isn't sweet and is most of the time drank by mixing it with sparkling water. Bryan liked it straight up. I really didn't care for it, but it was okay with the water.

Carolyn's dad and his girlfriend came, along with Alex, Victor's godmother.
The food was amazing. Bryan had pork knuckle with potatoes and I had a pork chop with sour kraut and spätzle.
After dinner, we went back to Victor's and sat on the terrace with their neighbors. They were all so nice and welcoming, it was a fabulous day!
