Today we leave for Germany, but first we trekked across the bridge to Saint Chapelle church, what we had read was that it was the little chapel. It was built in the 13th century by Napoleon IX. It now has buildings all around it making it difficult to even see from the road. When you walk in the lower chapel has a very low ceiling. There are two stone, winding staircases up to the main church. The stained glass windows are breathtaking, there is hardly a spot on the wall that isn't stained glass.
About 11:30 we left for the train station, there are many in Paris and this was a different station than the one we came into from Avignon.
We made it to Frankfurt right at 5:00, Victor and his mother were waiting for us. His brother and dad were outside the station with a really nice van for all of us to ride in together. We went back to Zeppelinheim to have dinner of potato salad, schnitzel and strawberries with zabaglione (creme), it was fabulous!
Afterwords we walked the town, going to the airport and watching the planes land, they must land before 11:00 at night, the people about 5 years ago were tired of the noise and asked that flights stop at that time. As we expected, Victor's family is so nice and have really thought out our stay with them.
Sounds fun, hi Victor!!
